Group & Puppy Training Classes

Puppy and Dog Group Training

If you are looking for group or puppy training classes, we offer several options during Spring, Summer and Fall. Group classes do not meet during Winter months.

Check out our Tiny Tots puppy training classes, or for older dogs who need to work on obedience, we have the Talented Toddlers classes. For those looking for the Canine Good Citizen title with the AKC, join our Canine Good Citizen classes, or schedule a time for the test only (CGC tests are offered year round). And, for those looking for faster, more specialized training, we offer workshops for various topics.

Group training classes are ideal for those clients on a budget and for socialization purposes, or for those that have dogs who get along well with other dogs. Group training classes will consist of 4-6 dog/handler teams held at a local park.

Learn and master the 10 items needed to register your dog as an AKC Canine Good Citizen. Class will end with the test and upon passing, you will receive a ribbon, certificate (provided by the AKC) and information on how to register with the AKC. Keep in mind, not every dog will pass the test at the end of the class as some dogs take more time to learn these skills, however, you may choose to continue working with your dog if you don’t think he/she is ready for the test. We offer both classes and testing.

More about the CGC from the Canine Good Citizen Website

“CGC is a ten-skill training program that’s open to all dogs–purebred and mixed breed–that focuses on teaching the basics of good manners and obedience, instilling the values of responsible ownership, and strengthening the bond between you and your dog at home and out in the community.

After mastering the ten skills, passing the CGC test together, and taking the Responsible Dog Ownership pledge, you and your pup will join the proud ranks of over 1 million dogs who have earned their Canine Good Citizen award– accomplishment that’s definitely worthy of extra belly rubs!”
